Today, July 6, 2022 marks exactly eight (8) years since renowed Ghanaian hiplife musician, Theophilus Tagoe otherwise known as Castro in the music circle mysteriously disappeared alongside a lady friend, Janet Bandu; while on holiday at Ada with former Black Stars’ Asamoah Gyan and a few friends.

Recounting events surrounding Castro’s disappearance eight years down the line, Former Ghanaian player, Asamoah Gyan in his autobiography β€˜LeGyandary’, shared details of the incidents that happened post the disappearance of Castro which included visiting shrines in search of his friend and music partner.

The news devastated Ghanaians and literally brought the entertainment industry into a standstill. However the jet ski involved in the accident was recovered on the same day of their disappearance.

Others, who are holding contrary views, believe his disappearance could be linked to a popularity stunt that has gone bad whilst a number of colleague musicians are still hopeful Castro will return but when and how remains the mystery puzzle.

Since the incident happened, there have been conflicting reports as to whether the Takoradi born artiste is still alive or died alongside Janet Bandu on July 6, 2014.

Despite the many search by the police. The pair remain missing to date.
