The first ever German Afrobeats Festival saw Berlin & Brandenburg open it’s doors to the world on July 09 and 10 at the racecourse Hoppegarten.
The two day event which started on Saturday, July 10, under the motto “from the Culture for the Culture” saw thrilling performances from stars within the hottest music genre of the world across Africa.
The festival which is a paean to Africa and more than an event, saw Ghanaian music giants headlining the event with Reggae/Dancehall act, Stonebwoy thrilling fans and music lovers to an electrifying performance alongside rapper Sarkodie and the sensational songbird; Gyakie.
The “Therapy” crooner took the center stage at the Afrobeats Festival with Nigerian star, Davido as they performed their hit tune, ‘Activate’ to the electrifying audience in Berlin, Germany.
The event was undoubtedly a unique experience with a line up that has never been seen before in Germany as stars like Wizkid, Ruga, Tiwa Savage, L.A.X, Wurld, Rema, Omah Lay, amongst others performing at the festival, with renowed American recording artiste, Erica Abi Wright, professionally called Erykah Badu as special guest.
To wit, the just ended Afrobeats Festival is without question, a movement that promotes African Cuisine, Fashion and Culture that builds the bridge between music lovers and their favorite artists.
