The global premiere of Sarkodie’s much-anticipated Jamz album is here. It’s been hours now since it premiered yet music lovers have clinched it and jammed to it in “one million “ ways.
After arousing interest with an audio-visual teaser of the album in September, that frames his early beginnings as a musician and his current status as a mainstream artist ( portraying his growth ) and subsequently with audio, “ Labadi “ ( track 1). Ghana-Tema-based musician, Sarkodie has now made the 10-track album available for all.
JAMZ” comes as Sarkodie’s 8th professional studio album. This a follow-up to his 2021 hip-hop or rap album, “No Pressure”. The 10-track album includes “She Bad” feat Oxlade, Confam’s “One Million Cedis” feat. Ink Boy, “Cougar” feat. Lojay, “Forever” feat. Kranium, “Over Me” feat. Cina Soul, “Hip Don’t Lie” feat. JAMZ is a collection of sounds fringe R&B, Afrobeats, Amapiano, and tropical pop.
Amidst a conversation on 3Music’s culture daily, Sarkodie mentions that Jamz isn’t a typical Ghanaian kind of record . “ trust me this project, I don’t have a typical Ghanaian record on it. It could be a problem but also sometimes you need to make a decision … “ – Sarkodie.
