Ghana’s multiple award-winning reggae and dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, and globally acclaimed afropop artiste, Wiyaala, shook New York City’s Croton Park last night with their spirited performances and entertaining personalities.

Having being billed to perform on stage at the Summerstage event held in the United States of America, this year’s edition of the SummerStage festival, was without doubt a highly rated outdoor music concert despite it being a free event.

The event is one of New York’s most beloved, broadly accessible and free outdoor performing arts festivals that presents free live performances, spanning all genres ranging from Jazz, hip hop, Latin, global and contemporary music /dance that engages fans from all over the city.

The August 13th event showcased an Afrobeat event in the states as Ghana’s Shatta Wale, Afro-pop singer-songwriter Wiyaala, and hot-spot Dj Freshyk together with a host of African and international music stars performed an energetic set of hit songs to an enraptured crowd in Bronx.

Shatta Wale did not disappoint as he brought his A Game to the show and performed a streams of back-to-back hit tracks igniting the place with his energy as the crowd was so geared up with the overwhelming atmosphere.

Wiyaala as expected displayed an incredible catalog and took audiences on an artistic journey with her highly rated performance; citing a true reason why she, together with Shatta Wale were billed to headline the show.
